Every stroke, finish, and dot speed in shodo is accomplished through concentration and intention. Maki started taking shodo lessons at the age of five. The practice has been a joyful life-long practice in her life. Throughout her school years, she has participated in international competitions and received numerous awards. She incorporates her calligraphy skills in textile design and film production.
